Update: J Cole's tracks have hit #1 ("The Climb Back") and #2 ("Lion King on Ice") at Apple Music in their first 24 hours.
Hip-hop heavyweight J. Cole has announced the first glimpse into his highly anticipated sixth studio album, The Fall Off. Two new songs from the LP, "The Climb Back" and "Lion King on Ice," will be released Wednesday night at 10pm via Dreamville/Roc Nation/Interscope.
While Cole has teased The Fall Off for years, he acknowledged that he's still working on the full-length and there's no date set for its release yet.
Since his last proper album, 2018's K.O.D. (which broke streaming records in its first week), Cole has worked on Dreamville's compilation album Revenge of the Dreamers: III and released solo singles "Middle Child" and most recently, "Snow on tha Bluff."
The Climb Back - produced by me.
