UPDATE: We can project today that Juice WRLD’s Legends Never Die (Grade A/Interscope) will unseat The Weeknd’s After Hours (XO/Republic) for the biggest debut of the year. Legends is currently projecting to a range of 450-470k in total activity. A strong D2C showing will contribute to an album total of 140k or more.
Juice WRLD's Legends Never Die (Grade A/Interscope) is headed for a massive first week. After one day of sales and streams, the posthumous release is tracking toward an opening of 400-440k in total activity, with projected on-demand audio streams expected to reach over 400 million, enough to give Legends the biggest single week streaming total of any album so far this year. Lil Uzi Vert's Eternal Atake currently holds that distinction with 376 million.
If Legends hits the high end of its projection, it will be just behind The Weeknd's 444k total for After Hours (XO/Republic), which to date is the year's biggest first week. Expect team Interscope to pull out all the stops to push Legends over that hump.
Juice WRLD (Grade A/Interscope) 400-440k total activity, 110-125k albums
Summer Walker (LVRN/Interscope) 33-38k, 3-5k
