LIVE NATION URBAN BOOKS JUNETEENTH SPECIAL

Leon Bridges, Common, Fantastic Negrito, Justine Skye and Jonathan McReynolds are among the participants in Live Nation Urban and LiveXLive’s Lift Every Voice: A Juneteenth Special that will stream Friday beginning at 5pm PT/8pm ET.

The 90-minute special will commemorate African-American freedom and celebrate the unifying language of music. It will be streamed across LiveXLive digital platforms.

Confirmed performers include Skye, McReynolds, Mick Jenkins, Joy Oladokun, Common f/Robert Glasper and Karriem Riggins and Fantastic Negrito. Hosted Charlamagne Tha God and correspondent Gia Peppers will have discussions with Bridges, Trae Tha Truth, Vic Mensa, Lion Babe, TI, Mereba and others.

“Live Nation Urban is proud to partner with LiveXLive and Color of Change to bring light to a day that has been revered by African Americans for generations,” said Live Nation Urban VP Brandon Pankey. “Its cultural relevance and significance globally cannot be understated.”

In addition to the Juneteenth Special, LiveXLive has added Juneteenth, the oldest known U.S. celebration of the end of slavery, to its list of annual paid holidays.
