Jay-Z’s Team ROC took out full-page ads in newspapers across the country Tuesday and Wednesday to honor George Floyd, quoting a speech by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. from 1965.
Team ROC, activists and attorneys placed the ad in Tuesday editions of The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times and The Atlanta Journal Constitution, among several others.
“A man dies when he refuses to stand up for that which is right,” the quote reads. “A man dies when he refuses to stand up for justice. A man dies when he refuses to take a stand for that which is true.”
