ASCAP GOES VIRTUAL WITH ITS AWARDS

ASCAP is moving its four awards ceremonies to the PRO’s social media channels in June and July.

Each celebration—Pop, Screen, Latin and Rhythm & Soul Music—will last three days and include dedicated content for each genre. Besides honoring the songwriters and publishers behind its most performed songs of the past year, the streams will include performances, winner spotlights and interviews.

ASCAP Pop Music Awards will be held 6/17-19; Screen Music Awards run 6/23-25; Latin Music Awards are given out 7/7-9; and the Rhythm & Soul Music Awards wrap it up 7/15-17.

"Even though we can't be together in real life this time, we are so excited to honor them virtually so that we can all connect and share our collective love of music,” ASCAP Chairman of the Board and President Paul Williams. “We invite music fans everywhere to join us in toasting their music and what their creative work adds to our lives.”

Specific times, winners and additional program details will be announced in the future.
