Dirty Hit/Interscope’s The 1975 are celebrating the release of their latest album by teaming up with Spotify on an enhanced album experience, The 1975 Presents Notes on a Conditional Form.
The band’s co-created visual experience gives Spotify listeners a glimpse behind the scenes of their fourth album with updated Storylines, animated artwork Canvases and never-before-seen video content. While the band has been releasing Storylines content throughout April and May, the enhanced album experience provides new insights into the creation behind their previous three albums as well as their new fourth LP.
“There’s so much that goes into the creative process of making an album,” shares Spotify U.K. and Ireland Head of Music Sulinna Ong. “If you’ve ever wondered what goes through the mind of your favourite artists when it comes to their music, now you can find out directly from the artists themselves. The 1975 have a devoted fan base built on a foundation of mutual understanding and shared intimacy. With lead singer Matty tackling big themes from the nature of the virtual self to music, art and beauty as a means of subversion—they’re giving fans a window directly into the heart and soul of the band.”
