CUMULUS ELEVATES TROY HANSON

Cumulus Media has announced the promotion of Troy Hanson to Vice President/Corporate Programming-Rock Formats. His new role will include oversight of the Classic Rock format to his current portfolio of Active and Alternative formats.

Hanson will maintain his dual roles as VP of Operations for Cumulus Chicago and PD of Alternative 101.1 WKQX.

In making the announcement of Hanson's new responsibilites, Brian Philips, EVP, Content & Audience, Cumulus Media, said, "We're grateful that Troy's mastery of every rock variant—Alternative, Active and Classic—will enable him to oversee these formats within Cumulus and Westwood One. Troy leads with a well-honed instincts and a big heart."
