What with L.A.’s stay-at-home order now being extended through July, we were looking for a reason to feel good about summer. Fortunately, we just got word that LVRN/Interscope breakout Summer Walker’s debut set has been certified platinum—and that she’s at work on the follow-up set.
The new-school R&B phenom’s debut full-length, Over It, has racked up more than 2 billion U.S. streams (2.8b worldwide) and 150k+ track sales (210k globally).
We’re certain that Summer’s platinum status was celebrated by her team with a raucous Zoom call that included many hearty toasts and several cries of “you’re still on mute, dude.”
