Julie Adenuga, a key British tastemaker and one of the three lead DJs at Beats 1, has announced that she's leaving this week after five years on air. There's no word yet on her next move.
Adenuga joined Apple's radio station on its launch as the London headline host and has spent much of her time on the air since championing the British grime and rap scene. Her career in music started at London radio station Rinse FM, and she went on to create and present music TV show Play It. She’s the younger sister of artists JME and Skepta, who founded grime collective Boy Better Know.
