More than 25 artists including Justin Bieber, Avril Lavigne, Michael Buble, Sarah McLachlan, Bryan Adams, Walk Off the Earth, Josh Ramsay and Rush frontman Geddy Lee are among the lineup of Canadian artists to come together for a charity rendition of Bill Withers’ “Lean on Me.”
Produced by Jon Levine (Céline Dion, Alessia Cara, Lavigne) and mixed by Jason Dufour (July Talk, Lights, The Trews), with musical contribution by Dan Kanter (Bieber, Shawn Mendes, bülow), the single is part of ArtistsCAN, a collective artist initiative raising funds for COVID-19 relief in Canada conceptualized by JUNO Award nominees Tyler Shaw and Fefe Dobson. The official music video for the tribute aired during Sunday night’s broadcast of Stronger Together, Tous Ensemble in support of Food Banks Canada and was produced by The Young Astronauts.
Available across all DSPs, all proceeds from the ArtistsCAN single will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross and COVID-19 benefit relief. To donate, text LEANONME to 20222 or click here.
