THE ROOTS GROW THEIR DAILY CONTENT

The Roots recently launched two new programs, The Roots Jam Presents Solo Session and J.PERIOD Presents The Live Mixtape, in addition to their lineup of daily content on their YouTube channel, all of which is produced by The Roots' production company, Two One Five Entertainment, in partnership with Live Nation Urban.

In the spirit of the legendary Roots Jam Sessions, The Roots Jam Presents Solo Sessions is a new series featuring one-song performances from music artists that are handpicked and curated by the band. The first episode kicks off on Wednesday, (4/29) at 6pm EST with MuMu Fresh, Son Little and Madison McFerrin.

J.PERIOD Presents The Live Mixtape is set to air every Monday at 8pm EST and will feature an hour long DJ set with different themes each week. Hosted and spun by J. PERIOD, the live series launched tonight (4/27) and includes a tribute to Nas and Mobb Deep by Queensbridge Finest.

With the postponement of the 13th annual Roots Picnic, their daily lineup of content will be anchored by Questlove’s DJ sets and features a charitable component where donations are being made to The Food Hub NYC.
