SPOTIFY AIDS ARTISTS' FUNDRAISING EFFORTS

Spotify is providing artists with tools to assist in fundraising efforts via individual artist pages. The Artist Fundraising Pick launches today.

In addition to selecting any piece of music to highlight on their profile as an Artist’s Pick, they can now highlight a fundraising destination. Artists can raise money for their crews, to support themselves or support varous charities.

Artists can choose to add a link to Cash App, which has established a $1m relief effort for artists, GoFundMe or PayPal.

Marshmello, for example, is using his site to raise money for MusiCares. “So many of us have been affected by the COVID-19 virus, and now more than ever we need to stand together and help each other,” he says. “MusiCares is helping all working musicians, producers, songwriters, engineers and so many. Let’s all do our part to help those who need it most.”
