BBC Radio 1 is set to record its most ambitious Live Lounge session yet in support of the global effort to stay safe and stay home during the coronavirus crisis. The Stay Home Live Lounge will be released at midday BST on 4/23, featuring, among others, Chris Martin, Dua Lipa, Rag’n’Bone Man and Hailee Steinfeld.

The session will see artists collaborate on a cover of Foo Fighters’ "Times Like These" from their own homes. Others set to make an appearance include 5 Seconds of Summer, AJ Tracey, Anne-Marie, Bastille, Biffy Clyro, Dermot Kennedy, Ellie Goulding, Grace Carter, YUNGBLUD, Celeste, Jess Glynne, Mabel, Paloma Faith, Rag’n’Bone Man, Rita Ora, Royal Blood, Sam Fender, Sean Paul, Sigrid and Zara Larsson.

Fraser T. Smith will produce the Live Lounge and it will be broadcast for the first time across Radio 1, Radio 2, 1Xtra, 6Music and Asian Network as well as on demand on BBC Sounds. The accompanying video will be shown during The Big Night In on BBC One Thursday evening and will be available to watch later on Radio 1’s iPlayer and YouTube channels.

The song will also be released as a single, with U.K. net profits to be combined with funds raised by The Big Night In for BBC Children in Need and Comic Relief. Funds will go toward providing essential support to vulnerable people of all ages and backgrounds across the U.K. affected by the COVID-19 crisis. International net profits will go toward the WHO’s COVID-19-Solidarity Response Fund.
