U.K. CHARTS: DUA STAYS ON TOP

Dua Lipa has a second week at #1 on the U.K.'s Official Albums Chart with Future Nostalgia (Warner Records) while The Strokes are new at #3. Over on singles, The Weeknd remains on top.

Lipa’s second album finished 3,500 combined sales ahead of Lewis Capaldi, whose Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent (Virgin EMI) ended up being her closest competitor at #2.

The Strokes have the highest new entry this week and fifth Top 5 with The New Abnormal (RCA) at #3.

Torey Lanez lands at #4 with The New Toronto 3 (Interscope), and the posthumous debut from British rapper Cadet, The Rated Legend (Underrated Legends), debuts at #13.

Laura Marling's seventh studio album, Song for Our Daughter (Chrysalis/Partisan), enters at #22, while the deluxe edition release of Selena Gomez’s Rare (Polydor) boosts the album back into the Top 40 at #26.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles chart, The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” (Island) has an eighth week at the top with on 78,000 combined sales, including 8.6m streams.

Meanwhile, Lipa extends the rarely seen feat of having three songs in the Top 10 for a third week running, with “Physical” at #4, “Don’t Start Now” at #5 and “Break My Heart” at #10. She’s only the second female artist to achieve this—Ruby Murray did it in 1955.

Elsewhere in the Top 10, Lil Mosey’s viral smash “Blueberry Faygo” (Polydor) rises two places to #9.

Further down, there are big climbs this week for “Flowers” (Atlantic) by DJ Nathan Dawe, up seven places to #16, Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” (1501/300), which surges five spots to #17, and Jax Jones & Martin Solveig f/Raye’s “Tequila” (Polydor/Virgin EMI), zooming 11 places to #21.
