YOUNG KEEPING BUSY DURING LOCKDOWN

Neil Young has been keeping quite busy during lockdown, on several fronts.

On Saturday 4/11 he performed live online for At Home with Farm Aid, along with Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews, a benefit concert for family farmers impacted by the effects of COVID-19. Peep a replay here.

On 4/10 he posted his third in a series of new Fireside Sessions, filmed in his living room by his wife Daryl Hannah, a livestreamed production featuring intimate performances and a few surprises. Check the series out here.

Last week Young released "Shut it Down 2020," a new mix of his song "Shut it Down" inspired by fans expressing what the song has come to mean to them during the current pandemic, with an accompanying video below.

And, from his archives, he just unearthed a never-before-seen 1971 live performance (pictured) of "Cowgirl in the Sand," from the Shakespeare Theater in Stratford, CT, shortly after the release of his classic album After the Gold Rush.

Young and his archives team also opened up his subscription website neilyoungarchives.com so that it is now free for all to explore and enjoy during these challenging times.
