SET YOUR DVR: SNL TO RETURN—REMOTELY

Saturday Night Live will return to NBC this weekend. The late-night comedy series will be back with SNL at Home, a special remote episode airing on 4/11 at 11:30pm ET/PT. The show, which suspended production amid the coronavirus pandemic, will produce new material remotely while continuing to practice safe social distancing.
The episode will include the "Weekend Update" segment, as well as other original content from SNL cast members, however there will not be a host. At the moment, the episode is being considered a one-off, and it's unclear if the show will resume a weekly new episode schedule. SNL was set to return from a planned short hiatus on 3/28, with John Krasinski hosting and Dua Lipa as musical guest, but that episode was postponed.

Several late-night and daytime talk shows have also recently returned, with original episodes featuring hosts and special guests recording from home, using technology such as the Zoom video-conferencing app to keep stay-at-home audiences engaged.
