Justin Timberlake will bring the sounds of Trolls World Tour to life with an in-depth look at the making of the film's soundtrack, during a one-hour special on Apple Music on 4/9.
Timberlake, who served as the executive music producer on the film’s soundtrack, discusses the need for blending genres, how the film’s message of inclusion through diversity plays a major role in both the film and soundtrack, and shares stories of working with a musical cast that included Anderson .Paak, George Clinton, HAIM, SZA and Chris Stapleton (who co-wrote two tracks on the record, collaborating via FaceTime). JT also calls up producer Ludwig Göransson to chat about the production of the soundtrack.
Timberlake said: "It's a fantastic film and has got a message that I think is timely… There's a lot going on in the world where people are actually really trolling. And so...the message of inclusion through diversity. I think we're right at the turning point for a timely message like that. And who would've thought it would've come to you in Trolls World Tour."
Listen to the special on Apple Music this Thursday 4/9 at 2pm ET/11am PT here, and watch Trolls World Tour on AppleTV beginning Friday, 4/10 here.
