The latest release from Drake slides way up the Shazam USA Top 100 this week to lead the biggest movers list. The only song that attracted more ears and thumbs was The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights.”
Drake’s “Toosie Slide” (OVO/Republic) rises all the way to #2 ahead of two songs from Disney/ABC properties: BELL SAINT’s “Uninvited” (Hollywood) from the Hulu series Little Fires Everywhere and Brandi Carlile’s “Carried Me With You” from the Disney/Pixar film Onward.
The viral Don’t Rush challenge has elevated Young T & Bugsey’s track from last year, “Don’t Rush” (Black Butter), and HBO’s Westworld is developing new fans for Moses Sumney’s “Doomed” (Jagjaguwar).
“Toosie Slide” is also catching on in the U.K. where it sits behind The Cinematic Orchestra’s “To Build a Home,” which enjoyed a placement on This is Us.
