GAGA AIDS NETWORKS IN COVID-19 FIGHT

Three broadcast networks—ABC, CBS and NBC—and iHeartMedia will jointly air an all-star special on Saturday, 4/18, to raise funds and address the fight against the coronavirus.

Interscope’s Lady Gaga will curate the two-hour program One World: Together at Home, presented by Global Citizen and the World Health Organization, and featuring Billie Eilish, Elton John, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, Paul McCartney and many more.

Late-night staples Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert will be the hosts. Audrey Morrissey and Live Animals will produce the special in partnership with Global Citizen.

Along with performances and appearances from sports stars, actors and musicians, the show will feature stories about frontline healthcare workers from around the world.

Musical acts lined up to appear include Alanis Morissette, Andrea Bocelli, Billie Joe Armstrong, Burna Boy, Chris Martin, Eddie Vedder, FINNEAS, J Balvin, Keith Urban, Lang Lang, Lizzo, Maluma and Stevie Wonder.

During the last week, Gaga joined with Global Citizen to raise $35m to donate to the World Health Organization.

The show will also be streamed on Amazon Prime Video, Apple, Facebook, Instagram, Tidal, Twitter, Yahoo, YouTube and elsewhere. The digital special will include additional artists and performances from all over the globe.

Global Citizen is also calling on philanthropists to join and support immediate COVID-19 response efforts as part of the organization’s Give While You Live effort. Investors, changemakers and foundation leaders are being urged to invest quickly in stronger health systems, vaccine development and related efforts.
