Capitol’s Troye Sivan has dropped his latest track “Take Yourself Home” alongside a lyric video. The single, which was originally set for release later this year, takes on a new meaning for the Sivan as he heads home to Australia to isolate during the current pandemic.

“‘Take Yourself Home’ is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written,” says Sivan, who co-wrote the Oscar Görres-produced track with Leland (Selena Gomez, BTS, Charli XCX), Tayla Parx (Khalid, Ariana Grande) and Görres (The Weeknd, MARINA, Tove Lo). “The song is kind of a pep talk with yourself and the place you’re from. Grappling with your place in the world. I write these songs as a diary entry, then as life and places change and relationships change, songs can take on a new meaning entirely. Clearly that has happened for this song, with what is going on in the world right now.”

In addition to the new single, Sivan posted on his Instagram that he was looking find creatives to help develop elements for “Take Yourself Home." Working with a team of freelance artists, visuals for the pre-save page, lyric video and more were sourced by social media.

Sivan also launched three new t-shirts designed by Instagram-sourced Jack Taylor Lovatt and Lanning, available for sale here. All proceed will be donated to WHO COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund and Spotify’s COVID-19 Music Relief project.
