Having already become a craze at TikTok, Drake has officially released his new single "Toosie Slide" via OVO/Republic. This is the first proper single from the 6-God since 2019's "Money in the Grave," which dropped following his Toronto Raptors won the NBA Finals.
The new song follows three unofficial releases earlier this year: "War" on Christmas Eve and "When To Say When" and "Chicago Freestyle" last month. All three tracks are only available on SoundCloud and YouTube.
While no full project has been set, it should be noted that Scorpion dropped in June (Drake's favorite month) of 2018. Easily the year's top-selling album, it opened with 732k units.
Social media influencer Toosie played Drake’s new song on Twitter Sunday starting a bit of a dance craze. Pandora has even made available custom "Toosie Slide"-themed Zoom backdrops, to liven up those mundane work-from-home video-conferences, download them here. Watch the video for "Toosie Slide" below to get a glimpse of Drake's version of being hunkered down.
