U.K. MIDWEEKS: 5SOS STORMS THE CHART

5 Seconds of Summer are currently outselling Dua Lipa on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart at the halfway point. Over on singles, The Weeknd is back on top.

Based on sales over the weekend, 5SOS are in the lead by 7k combined sales with Calm (Polydor). The album is this week’s best-seller so far on physical formats while he most downloaded and streamed album is Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia (Warner Records) at #2.

Pearl Jam’s Gigaton (Monkeywrench) is the third highest new entry today at #3, followed by the trio of Skepta, Chip and Young Adz (from D-Block Europe) at #4 with their first collaborative album, Insomnia (SKC M29).

Partynextdoor is aiming for a first U.K. Top 10 with Partymobile (Warner Records) at #7, while Elton John’s greatest hits, Diamonds (Virgin EMI), is heading back to the Top 10 after the iHeart benefit concert. It’s #9.

Joyner Lucas’ debut album, ADHD (Twenty Nine Music Group), starts just outside the Top 10 at #11.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” (Island) is heading for a sixth non-consecutive week at #1. The highest new entry today is “Break Up Song” (RCA) by Little Mix at #5, followed by Lipa’s “Break My Heart” at #7.

Lipa has a other two tracks in the Top 10 from Future Nostalgia: “Physical is up two places to #3, and “Don’t Start Now,” which rises two to #4.
