SET YOUR DVRS: GARTH & TRISHA LIVE!

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood will appear in a new primetime special Wednesday on CBS. On the hone-hour special Garth & Trisha Live!, the husband and wife team will perform live from their home recording studio.

Brooks, a Yearwood and CBS will donate $1m to charities involved with combating the Covid-19 virus.

Brooks and Yearwood hosted a casual, at-home concert from their Studio G on 3/23 that more 5.2m viewers watched on Facebook Live. It crashed the website.

“After we saw Garth and Trisha crash Facebook, we reached out to them about bringing this Studio G to a larger audience in a safe and exciting way,” said Jack Sussman, CBS’ Executive Vice President, Specials, Music and Live Events. “With Garth and Trisha coupled with the power of broadcast television, anything can happen, making this an event not to be missed.”

Brooks will share details about how viewers can make song requests for the 9pm special on his weekly Facebook Live show, Inside Studio G, on Monday.

Garth & Trisha Live! will be filmed without a live studio audience and will involve a minimal crew with extensive safety precautions in place.
