DYLAN DELIVERS AN EPIC NEW SONG

Bob Dylan has released a new song, "Murder Most Foul," and it’s a doozie: A 17-minute piano ballad that uses the assassination of President Kennedy as the starting point for an assortment of observations, reflections and requests for the best of the best in music.

He drops in references to his own work, The Who’s Tommy, characters and actions from blues, folk and vintage rock & roll tunes. John Lee Hooker, Stan Getz, Guitar Slim, Don Henley, Marilyn Monroe and Wolfman Jack, among others, get shout-outs.

It’s the first new Dylan song since the 2012 release of Tempest. His three most recent albums were collections of interpretations of the Great American Songbook.

Dylan sent along a note with the release.

Greetings to my fans and followers with gratitude for all your support and loyalty over the years.

This is an unreleased song we recorded a while back that you might find interesting.

Stay safe, stay observant and may God be with you.
