Let's Go Crazy: The Grammy Salute to Prince will air on CBS tonight, the four-year anniversary of Prince’s death.
The Recording Academy/AEG Ehrlich Ventures/CBS production features performances by Beck, Gary Clark Jr., Foo Fighters, H.E.R., and others along with artists associated with Prince: Morris Day And The Time, Sheila E., The Revolution and Jimmy Jam. Maya Rudolph is the host; she will also perform with her Prince cover band Princess.
Ken Ehrlich is executive producer; Ron Basile, Chantel Sausedo and Rac Clark are producers and David Wild is the writer/producer. Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis and Sheila E. are the co-musical directors.
In other Prince news, Sony’s Legacy Recordings is rescheduling the releases of upcoming reissues, moving The Rainbow Children, One Nite Alone..., One Nite Alone…Live!, One Nite Alone: The Aftershow…It Ain't Over! and The Rainbow Children to 5/29 from 4/17.
