JAZZFEST HEADED FOR FALL

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival will not take place between 4/23 and 5/3 and is being moved to the fall.

The festival does not yet have new dates to announce though some artists have announced that it will be taking place on the front half of October.

“At the direction of the City of New Orleans authorities, in response to ongoing COVID-19 health concerns, the 2020 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell will not occur this April and May, as scheduled,” JazzFest organizers wrote in a statement. “The health and safety of the community, our musicians, Festival fans, participants, sponsors, and staff are paramount, and we urge everyone to follow the guidelines and protocols put forth by public health officials.”

Headliners included acts that have already scrapped other touring plans—The Who, Foo Fighters, The Avett Brothers—and others who have yet to announce any adjustments to their summer schedules—Dead & Co., Steve Nicks, The Lumineers.
