Entercom has created a new live music initiative to help fill the void of concerts and live shows. Head of Music Initiatives/SVP Programming Michael Martin reached out to music partners in search of live recordings/sessions to be aired on the company's national platform, Radio.com.
The virtual concert series, RADIO.COM LIVE: And the Beat Goes On!, is already prepared to launch within Entercom's system. Martin and team are in search of 30-60 minute fully cleared audio and video live sessions from artists of all formats. No live crowds, just home/studio sessions.
Any accepted recordings will be aired multiple times on the Radio.com app and promoted on all associated formats across the country and Radio.com.
Martin explains the mission of the new live initiative during the world's current crisis: "The messaging is all about keeping the music going. For those bands that have to postpone, it’s a taste to tide their fans over until they can be in front of the big crowd again. For the up and coming artist it’s an additional wide casting net of exposure. All of this done to keep the music going and provide entertainment to a live experience starved audience."
Utilizing all of Entercom's resources, Sound Space studios across the nation and film teams can provide assistance for interested artists. All submissions and correspondence should go to [email protected] and it will go to the appropriate parties.
