WARNER SHUTS OFFICES

Warner Records will be closing its offices globally for at least two weeks beginning Monday, Tom Corson and Aaron Bay-Schuck announced.

Here’s the memo:

As you know, the global coronavirus/COVID-19 situation is affecting the way all of us conduct our daily lives – including artists who have seen tour and promotional plans cancelled in an unprecedented way. After much discussion, we’ve reluctantly decided to close our offices and studios in the U.S., Canada, UK, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand as of Monday, March 16th.

We believe this decision is in the best interest of our people and artists/songwriters, and that as global citizens, we have the responsibility to play our part to prevent the spread of the virus.

We want to personally assure you that everyone is fully prepared to work remotely from home. Clearly, we’re in uncharted waters here, and we’re trying to get the balance right between getting the job done and keeping people safe.

But, one thing that will not change is our dedication to you and your music. Someone from the team will be available 24/7 as usual. If at any moment during this period you feel that you’re not getting what you need, please let us know, and we’ll fix it ASAP.

We expect that these offices will remain closed for two weeks, but we promise to update you as the situation evolves.

Together, we’ll get through these challenging few weeks.

Thank you for understanding.
