The countdown to Record Store Day has begun: It’s 42 days away. All the majors have announced their releases for the 13th annual edition of what has emerged as a yearly bonanza for vinyl purchases.
Heading for the bins on 4/18 are boxed sets from John Prine and Notorious B.I.G., more classic shows from David Bowie and the Grateful Dead, a collection of Judd Apatow’s favorite Warren Zevon songs and the celebrations of a few anniversaries: Paul McCartney’s solo debut at 50, a U2 single at 40 and TLC’s “Waterfalls” at 25.
