WEATHERLY TO SPOTIFY (UPDATE)

Sources close to the situation confirm that radio superstar Kevin Weatherly is joining Spotify as Head of North American Programming, reporting to Co-Head of Music Jeremy Erlich.

Weatherly stepped down from his Entercom post on 2/28, and rumors have been hot and heavy about his next chapter. As a powerhouse in the broadcast world whose artist-friendly approach was universally acknowledged—not to mention the longtime PD of Alternative radio's flagship, KROQ—he brings a unique skill set and perspective to the streamery. But who will call him buddy?
