BRITS PICS: BETTER LATE THAN NEVER

Remember the BRIT Awards? We know, it was so long ago—seemingly a more innocent time, when executives and artists flitted about in their finery, sipping Pimm's and lemonade, puffing furtively on Woodbines and quoting snatches of Philip Larkin verse at one another. But as we've just now received a batch of latterly sanctioned images of the night (perhaps a harbinger of how expeditiously things will work in the post-Brexit era), we bring them to you now. Splash a little gin in your Darjeeling and enjoy.

During UMG's afterparty at The Ned, erstwhile BRITs boss and UMG U.K. ruler David Joseph congratulates International Female Solo Artist winner Billie Eilish, while Mel C has an eerie flashback to the year her midriff was offered a solo deal.

WMG Recorded Music ruler Max Lousada and artist Anne-Marie breathe a sigh of relief after determining that no HITS staffers were present.

At London's The Standard (with worldwide Sony boss Rob Stringer and International Male Solo Artist winner Tyler, The Creator among the attendees), Sony U.K. topper Jason Iley and super-manager Jonathan Dickins ponder a new delivery platform for the forthcoming Adele album involving uncut gemstones and Osetra caviar.

Virgin EMI head Ted Cockle embraces double winner Lewis Capaldi, who offered him a bit of nourishing haggis he'd kept in his coat pocket for just such a moment.

Warner U.K. CEO Tony Harlow (center) is flanked by Parlophone Co-Prexies Mark Mitchell and Nick Burgess, who have painstakingly mastered the difficult art of delivering their press quotes in unison.

"Are we brexiting?" asks COO Sony Music U.K. & Ireland Nicola Tuer (r) of SMI MD Annette Donnelly and producer/manager/songwriter David Austin. "I thought I felt something."

Polydor co-chief Tom March hails Rising Star winner Celeste, whose statement necklace channeled the ghost of a recording artiste from 1927.

Warner Chappell Music CEO Guy Moot recalls to COO Carianne Marshall the time he traded a packet of Jelly Babies for a rare Human League 12" EP.

Harry Styles' suit momentarily illuminated the space during a brief power failure.

At the O2 Arena, David Joseph joins Neighbourhood's Jack Foster (l) and Benny Scarrs (r) in congratulating big winner Dave shortly before a decadent afterparty that reportedly involved tea and bickies.
