MORRIS, RHETT, HUFF LEAD ACM NOMS

Maren Morris, Thomas Rhett, Old Dominion and producer Dann Huff all picked up five nominations for the 55th ACM Awards, while OD’s Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen and Brad Tursi are tied with Dan + Shay’s Dan Smyers for the most individual nods with six apiece.

Dan + Shay, Blake Shelton and first-timer (wait for it) Justin Bieber comprise the four-noms tier, with Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Luke Combs, Ashley McBryde and Kacey Musgraves each nabbing three.

Morris is up for awards in four categories, including her fourth Female Artist of the Year nom, as well as her first Group of the Year nomination as a member of The Highwomen. Rhett secured his first-ever Entertainer of the Year nom, reigning Duo of the Year Dan + Shay snagged their seventh nod in the category and 2019 Group of the Year Old Dominion got their fifth.

This year’s list is refreshingly forward-looking, boasting no fewer than 25 first-time ACM nominees.

The 2020 ACM Awards will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on 4/5 and will air live on CBS.
