KOBE & GIANNA REMEMBERED

An emotionally charged memorial service for Kobe and Gianna Bryant was held Monday morning at Staples Center. It was broadcast on Spectrum SportsNet and streamed on Lakers.com, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

Beyoncé opened the tribute with a performance of "XO" (a favorite of Kobe's, Bey stated) and "Halo." Then Alicia Keys gave a moving rendition of Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" and Christina Aguilera sang "Ave Maria."

Around 20k attended in downtown L.A., including NBA players and legends, friends, family and those lucky enough to have won a ticket via lottery, all gathering to remember the basketball star’s legacy. Proceeds went to benefit Kobe’s Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation.
