Global K-Pop sensations BTS caused a frenzy on 2/21 at MTV’s Fresh Out Live, as they packed the network’s Times Square studio with legions of fans to discuss their new album Map of the Soul: 7, released today. The band also gave their BTS Army a preview of their music video for new single “On.” Hundreds of fans swarmed the studio and nearby businesses, many with their faces planted against second-story glass windows for a peek at the superstars.
In addition to celebrating their new single, the boy band chatted about their songwriting process, and shared how they’ve grown as artists since debuting seven years ago.
BTS' Suga commented: “We have grown as artists in the past 7 years, and as musical trends change we’ve also tried to follow the trends...and I think this (new album) shows it.” Jin added: “We’re going to keep working to bring you guys great music...for the (BTS) Army!”
On what fans can expect from their upcoming Map of Soul tour, Jimin said: “We’ll work hard to prepare a great show for you guys.” And V added: “We have some incredible things in store for you guys for this tour.”
