Willie Nelson's 70th solo studio album, First Rose Of Spring, will be released 4/24, five days before the red-headed stranger turns 87. Sony’s Legacy Recordings released the title track and a video today.
The album is Nelson’s first release since winning the Best Country Solo Performance Grammy at this year’s ceremony for "Ride Me Back Home." It was his 10th Grammy.
Nelson is working again with longtime producer Buddy Cannon and besides two new songs, he interprets songs written by Toby Keith ("Don't Let The Old Man In"), Billy Joe Shaver ("We Are The Cowboys"), Pete Graves ("Just Bummin' Around") and a new one from Chris Stapleton.
