NOISEMAKERS: KOMBUCHA FOR ALL

In the first roundup of Noisemakers for 2020, we present a new batch of rising professionals from different parts of the biz whose dedication and effort make their superiors look good.

This week's entrants will also find their faces in our most-recent mag—a mortifying experience they can lament over gluten-free pizza and Kombucha.

Miles Beard
Senior Vice President A&R, APG

Beard’s song chops are rooted in his previous stint as an international DJ. Since pivoting to A&R at APG, where he was recently upped to SVP, he’s signed and developed Charlie Puth and Alec Benjamin, while inking Pink Sweat$ to a publishing deal. He also handles the pub side for hit songwriter Amy Allen (“Without Me,” “Adore You”) and has been instrumental in developing songs for Ava Max and David Guetta. With Benjamin’s debut LP dropping in April, Beard’s home-barista gig has been going into overdrive.

Hannah Gold
Marketing Director, Interscope

Gold cherishes being a part of Billie Eilish’s historic Grammy night, something she says was a culmination of four years of artist development. When she isn’t reveling in the success of Darkroom’s Eilish, her diverse roster keeps her on her toes. With new music coming from blackbear, BLACKPINK, Amber Mark, Jax Jones, Still Woozy, Gracie Abrams and new Darkroom artist Oliver Malcolm, Gold has plenty of peeps she’ll be working with in 2020, as they prepare for world domination with Team Billie.

Noah Simon

Global Touring Agent, UTA

Handling global markets like Asia and international festivals for artists such as Post Malone, rapper Tierra Whack and Jacob Collier, Simon continues to evolve as his roster grows. He once even sat with Collier and Quincy Jones until 3am after a listening party. One of his favorite moments so far in his career has been bringing Jamiroquai to the U.S. and shooting hoops with him on the rooftop of the Jimmy Kimmel Live! studio. He’s also available to beatbox your next freestyle session.

Shannon Fitzgerald

Tour Marketing Agent/Exec, CAA

A highlight of 2019 for Fitzgerald was working alongside Lykke Li, her management team and the YOLA Mezcal brand for the inaugural YOLA DíA festival in DTLA, featuring an all-female bill of artists, musicians and chefs. Now, she’s particularly excited to be working on The Black Crowes reunion tour, Journey/Pretenders summer tour and Little Dragon’s return to the U.S. When she’s not busy with shows and festivals, you can find Fitzgerald centerstage at a local karaoke bar. Word on the street is she’ll be needing an agent soon.

Luke Armitage

VP, Astralwerks

Armitage currently oversees the global marketing team and domestic and international repertoire at Astralwerks. Along with guiding Marshmello’s smash “Happier” to 5x platinum in the U.S. and over 15m singles sold worldwide, the U.K. native leads marketing for a roster that includes ILLENIUM, Alison Wonderland, EDEN, Chemical Brothers, FISHER and the groundbreaking esports-music collaboration Ninjawerks. He also spearheaded the campaign for Meduza’s chart-topping dance hit “Piece of Your Heart,” and has worked with Jonas Blue throughout his career.

Alex Valenti

Founder/Partner, 3V Method

Boston native Valenti—who got her start with a dream gig working for Katy Perry’s management team—recently launched management company 3V Method, so named because it’s built around a three-value system that she hopes will positively influence others in the industry. The young exec looks forward to diversifying her roster, which includes writer/producers BSAMZ, lixa, Gabe Reali, PARKWILD and Zev Troxler, who’ve worked with the likes of J Kash, Lauv and Sam Smith, and recent 10k Projects signees Peach Tree Rascals.

Scott Dimig

VP Promotion, Epic

Dimig fondly recalls the Travis Scott explosion upon launching the ASTROWORLD album and tour: From day one, he helped turn PDs, MDs, jocks and tastemakers into fans by taking them to witness the phenomenon in person—and even took some into the mosh pits to feel the energy. The promo vet is currently working on The Black Eyed Peas’ “RITMO,” which is booming across the Latin, Pop and Rhythm charts while racking up global streams. Regard’s “Ride It” is this avid sailor’s next regatta.

Michael Mann

Coordinator, Promotion, Capitol

In his time at the Tower, Mann counts seeing Drake and Migos on the floor at Staples Center and getting a sneak peak of Paul McCartney’s record at Capitol Congress as highlights. Alongside promo boss Greg Marella, Mann has helped Capitol top radio charts with Lewis Capaldi, Lil Baby, Halsey and Sam Smith. This year he looks forward to breaking Tiana Major9 and continuing Capaldi’s run as America’s new sweetheart. In his free time, Mann is learning how to sew, taking French lessons and writing a book of poetry. C’est Magnifique!
