PALM SPRINGS ARENA CONSTRUCTION BEGINS

Construction has begun on the Oak View Group’s New Arena at Agua Caliente in downtown Palm Springs. The concert and sports venue will be home to the minor league affiliate of Seattle’s hockey team that starts play in 2021.

The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, OVG and Live Nation will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on 2/18.

Oak View Group CEO Tim Leiweke said, “the New Arena that will transform the entertainment and sports scene in the Coachella Valley. It’s time Palm Springs had a world-class arena and we’re excited to make this a reality.”

The arena, targeted for a fall 2021 opening, will have as many as 10,000 seats and will be limited to 20 suites and less than 1,000 club seats. Live Nation Entertainment will be booking the live entertainment.
