BRITS CROWN FRED AGAIN ..

The BRIT Awards have crowned Fred again.. (aka Fred Gibson) as the youngest-ever recipient of Producer of the Year. The recognition arrives after his productions for Ed Sheeran, Stormzy and Justin Bieber spent 14 weeks at #1 on the U.K. singles chart last year.

Top charting tracks produced by Fred last year include Sheeran’s collaboration with Khalid, "Beautiful People," Stormzy's "Take Me Back to London" and Bieber's "I Don’t Care."

He had eight Top 10 singles and at least one song in the Top 10 for 20 consecutive weeks, including George Ezra’s four times platinum "Shotgun" and Mist and Fredo’s "So High." The year ended as a producer on Stormzy’s #1 album, Heavy Is The Head, and he produced the first #1 single of the decade with "Own It" from the same album.

Recent and forthcoming collaborations span artists as diverse as Stefflon Don, Charli XCX, Skrillex and FKA Twigs.

Fred cut his teeth as a teenager working alongside Brian Eno on Eno & Hyde’s acclaimed 2014 albums High Life and Someday World, quickly followed by the Ivor Novello nominated Bleeds by Roots Manuva.

The BRIT Award for Producer of the Year has been voted on by a panel of A&R executives drawn from across the recorded music sector, having been previously selected by a judging panel of the Music Producers’ Guild and presented as part of their own awards.
