U.K. MIDWEEKS: EM VIES FOR 2 #1'S

Eminem and Courteeners are competing for the U.K.’s Official Albums #1 this week with just 2k combined chart sales between them at the halfway point. Eminem is vying for the top at singles, too, this time with Stormzy.

The sixth album from Courteeners, More. Again. Forever. (Ignition), is leading the midweeks at #1, closely followed by Eminem’s surprise release, Music to be Murdered By (Polydor), at #2.

Bombay Bicycle Club are also new at #3 after a six-year absence with Everything Else Has Gone Wrong (Island).

Elsewhere in the Top 10, Halsey’s Manic (Virgin EMI) starts at #5, Louise's comeback album, Heavy Love (Lil Lou Records/Warner), is currently #7, and the posthumous Mac Miller album, Circles (Warner), is #9.

Further down, British singer-songwriter Gabrielle Aplin starts at #11 with Dear Happy (AWAL), and Ei8ht Mile (Sony) , the debut album from drill rapper DigDat, opens at #13. R.Y.C (Polydor) by Mura Masa is #14, and Michael Kiwanuka's BRIT-nominated Kiwanuka (Polydor) rebounds 49 places to #15 following his appearance on The Graham Norton Show.

On the Official Singles midweeks, Stormzy f/Ed Sheeran and Burna Boy’s “Own It” (Atlantic/Merky) is still #1. Eminem is just 200 combined chart sales behind at #2 with “Godzilla” f/Juice Wrld. Eminem also has the second highest new entry, “Those Kinda Nights” f/Ed Sheeran at #7, and his “Unaccommodating” f/Young Ma starts at #12.

The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” (Island) is set for the Top 5 for the first time, up four to #4, and “Ei8ht Mile” by Digdat f/Aitch is on track to become his first U.K. Top 10 single at #9.
