CHANCE CANCELS TOUR ... AGAIN

Chance the Rapper has canceled his 24-city arena tour that was scheduled to start 1/15 in San Diego.

“I’m gonna take this time to be with family, make some new music and develop my best show to date,” he wrote on Instagram. Chance was scheduled to play the Forum on 1/16 and Madison Square Garden on 2/8.

It’s the second time Chance has canceled a tour behind his The Big Day album, which has done 343K in total activity since its 7/26 release. He was initially scheduled to go on a 35-city trek this year that was to have begun in September.

He listed marriage, new baby and first album as the reason he couldn’t do the 2019 tour. “When Kensli was born, I went on tour 2 weeks later and missed some of the most important milestones in her life, but more importantly I was absent when her mother needed me the most,” he wrote. “At this point as a husband and father of two I realize that I can’t make that mistake again. I need to be as helpful and available as possible to my wife in these early months of raising Kensli and Marli.”

Currently, Chance still intends to appear at Pharrell WilliamsSomething in the Water festival in Virginia in April.
