The Weeknd turned up for the premiere of the Safdie brothers’ Uncut Gems at the Arclight Hollywood Wednesday night, and not just because he’s a cinephile. The superstar also known as Abel Tesfaye has a role—playing himself—in the film alongside Adam Sandler, who’s getting a ton of early Oscar buzz, as is Uncut Gems itself.
