MORE MERCK MONEY

Merck Mercuriadis' Hipgnosis Songs Fund Limited and its investment adviser, The Family (Music) Limited, have acquired yet another music catalog—this time, from modern-day hitmaker Jack Antonoff.

Antonoff, who's signed as an artist to RCA and as a writer/producer to Sony/ATV, has collaborated with an array of superstars, notably Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, Lorde, P!NK and St. Vincent.

This year, he's nominated for the Producer of the Year (Non-Classical) Grammy, as well as Song of the Year—for his work as a songwriter on Lana Del Rey's “Norman F—ing Rockwell.”

It's also worth noting that he's listed as a producer on 11 of the 18 Taylor Swift Lover tracks. He started producing for Swift with the wildly successful tour de force that was 2014's 1989.

And of course, there was fun., the band that really propelled his career. Smash hits "We Are Young" and "Some Nights," for example, are 10-times and seven-times platinum, respectively.

And that's just the tip of his creative iceberg. His 188-song catalog also includes Sara Bareilles’ three-times platinum "Brave" and Lorde’s platinum-certified "Green Light," to name a few.

“I consider Jack to be amongst the most elite creators of our time," shared Mercuriadis. "The songs he has co-created with Fun, Taylor Swift, Lorde, St. Vincent and Lana Del Rey are sublime and the very best in pop music with integrity. It’s a great privilege to welcome Jack and [manager Tyler Childs] into the Hipgnosis Songs family and we are very excited to be working together.”

Now, please excuse us as we go back to complaining about our hips and saying "No" a lot.
