TAG THEY'RE IT: SHAZAM'S BIGGEST MOVERS

Music from the dawn of the rock & roll era up to the latest from The Weeknd have had thumbs a-wagging over the last week.

“Heartless” (XO/Republic), one of two new releases from The Weeknd, skyrockets up the Shazam USA Top 100 to lead the greatest gainers board. Crush Music’s Panic! At the Disco’s track from Frozen 2, “Into the Unknown” (Disney), makes a return appearance on the greatest gainers list.

Coming in at #30 are The Five Satins, who recorded “In the Still of the Night” in the basement of a Catholic school in New Haven, Conn., in 1956. Released on the Standord label, it was reissued on Ember and went Top 40. It’s stature, however, has grown as it became a staple on oldies radio stations in the 1970s and ’80s and appeared in films such as Dirty Dancing. It currently sets the mood for Martin Scorsese’s film on Netflix, The Irishman, which has driven it up the Shazam Top 100 in the U.S. and the U.K.

“Writing on the Wall” (Epic), the September release from French Montana f/Post Malone, Cardi B & Rvssian, and the May release from Cactus Jack/Atlantic’s Don Toliver,”No idea,” round out the Top 5 greatest gainers.
