In hopes of lightening the mood, let’s cast our minds back to the vicinity of the CMAs, at which time we posted an item highlighting industry chatter about a possible new Taylor Swift record. We can now state categorically and with 100% certainty that said project, should it be forthcoming, will not be the “Live Greatest Hits” set that was widely rumored around the biz. Many an insider had speculated about a live album-plus-video package from the Big Machine vaults, but no such release is believed to be on the way.
