When compared to prior expectations, Fox's Ford v Ferrari performed wonderfully at the domestic box office. The film, which scored a 92% at Rotten Tomatoes, earned $31m. On the other hand, Sony's Charlie's Angels seriously underperformed, coming in at #3 with an $8.6m debut.
Also, according to Box Office Mojo, Warner Bros.' Joker officially became the first-ever R-rated movie to top the $1 billion mark worldwide.
