Today there appears to be some kind of karaoke busker on Hollywood Boulevard, and she's yowling along with recorded versions of hits old and new. Thanks to amplification, it is bouncing off the nearby buildings and slicing into our souls. It is agonizing.

Seriously, if you think you've heard bad singing before, you haven't; the pitch-free caterwauling is even more strident when you can hear it alongside the correct pitch of the record. And it's been going on all day. Right under our office windows while we do our editorial boogie.

Pardon us while we search for some noise-canceling drugs.
