THE B-SIDE
HERSHKOVITZ IN THE STUDIO
11/14/19

UMG has named veteran television producer and late-night music booker Roey Hershkovitz as VP of Capitol Studios & Digital Studios. In the newly created role, Hershkovitz will oversee Capitol Studios’ recording, tracking, mixing and mastering operations and label relations while also expanding the studio’s audio-visual capabilities.

Based in Hollywood’s Capitol Studios, Hershkovitz will work closely with Paula Salvatore, VP of Administration and Sales, who continues to be responsible for sales, booking and administration, and will report to Christopher Jenkins, EVP of Digital Studios, and Patrick Kraus, SVP of Recording Studios & Archive Management.

“Roey’s background in television production, postproduction and music uniquely qualifies him for this newly created role in UMG’s Digital Studios,” says Jenkins. Kraus adds, “We are fortunate to have someone of Roey’s caliber join our team to help build on the legacy of this historic studio as we chart our course into the future.”

“I’m excited to work alongside Chris and Pat to bring my experience in television and working with the artist community to develop new opportunities and audio-visual content,” says Hershkovitz, who joins UMG and Capitol Studios with nearly two decades of late-night television experience, including having spent ten years working on Conan O’Brien’s CONAN.
