Placement on back-to-back episodes of Fox's 9-1-1 has pushed Andra Day’s “Rise Up” (Warner) straight up the Shazam USA Top 100 making it the week’s greatest gainer.
The November syncs follow ones on Orange is the New Black and Love Island in the U.K. this year, and Doctor Who, Dancing With the Stars and The Quad in 2018.
TV placement bumped up two older tracks—Frank Ocean’s “Lost” (Island Def Jam), which was used on NBC’s This is Us and Desmond Dekker’s “Israelites” (BMG), which was placed in HBO’s Watchmen. In the U.K., a sync on Power drove Seinabo Sey f/Jacob Banks’“Remember” to the top of the greatest gainers list.
Two new releases are in the Top 5 of greatest gainers: Sam Smith’s cover of Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love” (Capitol), recorded for Target’s Christmas ads; and Lil Baby’s “Woah” (Quality Control/Motown/Capitol).
