SMOKEY AND BERRY HONORED

Ryan Gordy’s mother and the head of the foundation, Anita Thompson, left, gets Berry Gordy, Mary Wilson and Smokey Robinson laughing by asking if they want their picture in HITS.

The Ryan Gordy Foundation honored Berry Gordy and Smokey Robinson at a “60 Years of Motown” celebration Monday at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills.

Thelma Houston and Mary Wilson performed for a crowd that included Sean “Diddy” Combs, David Foster, Katherine McPhee, Johnny Gill, Nelly and Omarion. Chris Tucker was the emcee.

Paris and Prince Jackson presented Gordy with the Power of Love Award; Lionel Richie presented Smokey with the Legendary R&B Pioneer and Humanitarian Award in memory of Berry’s grandson Ryan Gordy, who died of leukemia in 2016.

The foundation provides support to cancer patients including healthy meals, yoga, meditation, nutrition and guidance.
