CAPITOL’S ROYALE TREATMENT FOR TECHIES

Capitol Music Group will host the second annual Capitol Royale 11/15-17 in Hollywood. This year, the music and tech festival will celebrate “Music on the Move,” bringing together creatives, coders, designers, start-ups and music fans. The festival will explore innovations in music and technology, including immersive content and music & transportation. Tickets are on sale HERE. The event will take place at the legendary Capitol Studios and other Hollywood locations.

Partners include Bose, Ford, SmartDeviceLink (SDL), gener8tor, ConsenSys, Bandsintown, Spin, Glitch, TikTok, Cloudinary, Ones To Watch, Select Management, See Tickets, Universal Production Music and Hypno. In addition to keynote addresses, panel discussions and networking mixers, the festival will feature artists performing throughout the weekend on multiple stages. Capitol and gener8tor will host a Start-up Garden with curated, one-on-one pitch sessions between selected start-ups and venture capitalists, and executives from participating companies. Vinyl enthusiasts will enjoy the third installment of Wax Record Fair, presented in partnership with The Beat Swap Meet.

Developers can attend challenges hosted by Motown artist Vince Staples and Capitol artist Katori Walker. Participants in the Hackathon will have access to pre-cleared audio streaming tracks and stems from Universal Production Music. Additionally, Hypno’s instant camera API will allow developers to shoot and mix mini music videos in real-time.

Capitol Royale highlights will include:

Graduates of gBETA Musictech accelerators will demonstrate the products they have developed.

Emerging artists will be presented by Live Nation’s Ones To Watch, and will perform on the Bandsintown Stage, as part of the platform’s Big Break concert series.

Heather Lowery via Femme It Forward will also host showcases that highlight the depth, power, and talent of women in music & entertainment.

Hologram DJs from Holocryptics.

The Motown Music Accelerator Stage will present four acts who graduated from the inaugural 12-week program in Detroit.

WAX Record Fair will include record and food vendors, and an on-site bar. A rare tour of Capitol Studios will also be available for additional purchase.

And, if all that wasn't enough, there will be mezcal tasting, in which we look forward to immersing ourselves.
